We are creating hotels that feel like legendary houses rather than generic assets: warm, electric, quietly seductive, and designed to be owned for decades, not flipped.
Each Avalon property is an adaptive–reuse hotel of roughly 20–35 keys in a setting with history and soul. Guests arrive and feel, almost immediately:
“This is beautiful. This is true. I could live here.”
Our first projects are focused on Portugal and Southern Europe, with a clear intent to grow into three to five hotels within five years. For this, the right operational partners are essential.
What Avalon Is

What We Seek in a Partner
We are looking for operators who see themselves not as vendors, but as co-creators in a long-term story.
Scale & experience: 15–40 room boutique hotels with proven performance.
Financial intelligence: clear command of ADR, RevPAR and GOP margins.
Lean operations: comfort with minimal-staff models and modern tech.
Design literacy: respect for architecture, atmosphere and the subtleties of place.
Character: fun, honest, shrewd, deeply trustworthy.
The Relationship
In spirit, we imagine a partnership like Joseph Duveen and Bernard Berenson: the operator as master of execution and presence; the owner as master of vision, narrative and legitimacy.
